Rules about the admission of members to the society The Faroese Society of Visual Arts
Valid from 4 February 2004
A certificate/diploma from a recognized school of art which takes at least 4 years according to specifications from the school in question: 6 points.
Censured exhibitions, e.g. the spring exhibition or an equivalent exhibition abroad: 1 point for each exhibition, however a maximum of 3 points.
Solo exhibitions that are approved by a censorship committee with artistic taste at home or abroad: 3 points for each exhibition.
Group exhibitions that are examined by an approved censorship committee: 1 point per exhibition, however a maximum of 3 points.
Art museums in the Faroe Islands or abroad or approved foreign/Faroese galleries: 1 point per exhibition, however a maximum of 3 points.
Art exhibitions or exhibition projects that are approved by a censorship committee or an art historian: 2 points per exhibition, however a maximum of 4 points.
Public or private artistic decorations, that are organized by an artistic committee or judged by the committee of the society: 2 points for each job.
Sale to art museums and institutions which have a professional censorship committee: 2 points per sale, however a maximum of 6 points.
Has received public or Nordic grants or scholarship from the government: 2 points each time, however a maximum of 6 points.
The admissions board (the censorship committee) decides which conditions yield points. Also the admissions board can give points for artistic values that are not mentioned her.
